As everyone in the industry knows, most of the plat maps & maps [from Cook County Recorder of Deeds Office & private archive, etc.] burned in the Great Chicago Fire. That’s why it had to be re-recorded in 1873.
THIS IS TOTALLY UNIQUE & RARE! 
The Original Village of Jefferson occupied huge territory, 300+ acres, bounded [I believe] by: Foster Avenue + LaVergne Avenue + Wilson Avenue + Central Avenue. History of Chicago at your fingertips!
